Living While BlackA Poem by Candice A. Tinnon
Do I really want to drive?
We can't even go out for a walk?
Do I really need to jog? Do I really want to go shopping and should I dare to use a coupon? Do I really want to go to the park? Have A BBQ? Do I really need to go out and eat lunch? Do I really need to go back to my Do I really need to garden? Do I really want to sit in my car? Should I dare to sleep in the common area of my dorm Or dare to sell something as simple as water? ________________ while black. Look at this! This is my mental space. These are the things I'm starting to debate I'm over the ignorance from people who can't relate The same ones who are still asleep, while we have to stay awake Beyond tired of us dying every week from their fear or their hate. © 2020 Candice A.
