Baby, Poems Are Sweet.

A Poem by Dream Catcher
"

I wrote this during my flight. It evolved from me seeing a bird.

"
No matter what you do to it,
A word is still a word.
Even if you broke its wings,
A bird is still a bird.
Take the words out of it and see,
A song is still a song.
Even if you make a thousand apologies,
A wrong is still a wrong.
You can run off with all the things you said to me,
A love is still a love.
Paint its white beauty black and still,
A dove is still a dove.
You can hide it behind smiles and laughs but,
A tear is still a tear.
Having someone there still won’t protect you,
A fear is still a fear.
Even if you get it smashed,
A heart is still a heart.
You always have to stay strong,
Even when everything breaks apart.

This is...Captivating. Amazing. Perfect in all ways a poem should be. The first few lines, and the last two lines are very strong, very moving. I love this, it is most definitely going in my favorites list, and I'm writing it down in my notebook to refer to when I need a smile on my face (if you don't mind).
It's so very true, the point you have made. Amazing job. ♥♥

Holy poop Josh!!! I....love this...I'm adding this to my favorites. It's really nice, you're truely growing in your writing abilities and it makes me happy. Such a nice stop and go flow, and oh how true this is...even the smallest actoins we make, the ones we give no apparent meaning to, still have an impact. And we can never take them back, or even truely forget...this reminds me of Shakespeare's "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet." meaning, the word has no meaning, we give it the meaning. I'm pretty sure I'm totally rambling and making no sense, but I just really enjoyed this Josh. GREAT job. One thing, "Paint its white beauty black and still" is very confusing...? Oh well, great write Josh m'dear.
