Late Night ThoughtsA Poem by Camryn JeterForever missing you...
I keep expecting you to crank my radio up to a volume that I under no circumstances would have ever turned it up to
Or to get hurled to the ground in a play-fight In the most vicious-loving way.. I keep waiting to hear one of your sarcastic comments about my taste in music whenever I sing out loud But the empty space beside me cannot turn up the radio The wind can't throw me to the ground and suffocate me with affection And my imagination is the only one that says what you used to about my "horrible music", because you don't anymore And you won't anymore. These are the things I wonder at 2 A.M.: Do you miss me so much that your mind plays tricks on you, too? © 2015 Camryn Jeter |
