back to bed...

back to bed...

A Poem by Camilla (A.K.A. Cami) Beauvais
"

have your parents ever walked into your room in the middle of the night turned on the light peaked in then turned it off and left? it hurts. -.o

"

 Surprise

arterioles constrict

racing heart

eyes blindly search

laze then dart

no vision yet

fear of the dark?

rising hands

lashes start

flutter

shut.

dilation quick

the shapes you see

bright spectrums

seems eternally

soon away

all excitement

eyes open wide

no longer blind

you realize,

adjustment

finished.

now all is seen

your room, your bed

all of your things

parents?

left.

no more to see

the dark swarms in

to silence dreams
