PrefaceA Chapter by Hannah CRAn introductionPrefaceA name is a name, not a definition. A name is a title, given to you by the generations before you to help you present yourself and your identity to the world around you. Some people go by many names and others by only one. My name is Hannah, the name itself is of Hebrew origin and translates to either “grace” or “gift from god”. However, in my opinion your name does not define you. If I was to think of the many people on this planet with whom I share the name Hannah, no two people would be the same. A name is given to you or adopted by you but it cannot represent your character or who you are as a person. A name is a name, not a definition. What defines you is experience, moments in your lifetime that shape who you are. As the ticking clock counts down your time on this earth, tick, tock, tick, tock, wasting your precious seconds, seconds that may in fact change you as a person. Experience feeds a wandering mind, the mind that makes you special. The mind separates you from your run-of-the-mill corporate puppet and feeds a burning desire for knowledge and adventure. This book is one that holds some of my experiences, moments that I believe shaped me and who I have become. Some of these tales are not for the faint of heart but it is important to find a way to reflect on the moments left behind as time moves on and we grow older. So we can learn from what we have done and adapt our futures. For hindsight is an excellent thing and one that can hold the secrets of the world, well… that is if you choose to look for them. © 2016 Hannah CR |
