Sally O'Mally

Sally O'Mally

A Poem by Cameron@Poet

When Sally O'Mally had the flu,
I went up to her and asked "How dee do?"
I smiled nice and kind, and ya know what she said to me?
"I'm feeling pretty sick, can't you see?
I'm cold on the inside and warm on the out.
I feel wet and squeamish just like a trout.
My toes and fingers have now gone numb.
I'm feeling tiny bumps along my gums.
My tongues gone dry
But I don't know why.
I've lost my sight
But I see a light.
Doctors said I might die.
I'll be lucky if I survive.
But enough about me.
Oh, how I wish I could see!
But anyhoo,
How are you?"
And ya know what I said
While I looked at her head?
I said "I'm doin' perty well,
If you couldn't tell."
