Dear God, are you even listening???

Look, I'd love to believe that you are real and all,

But if that's the case why don't you answer whenever I call?

People always make you out to seem all big and strong

But why do you stand by when people die

That's how I know they're wrong.

I been raised and taught to always be aware of demons.

That's what my mama said 'cause this the stuff that she believe in.

But man, I don't know,

Do I even have a soul

I really think that I should go

I'll write more letters when I get old...

I have seen the rolling Ozark hills wrapped in morning mist. I have seen a sunrise from a high place that has stayed with me for decades. Only God can create such sights. So yes, He is real. One needs only to open his/her heart.
