Definition of DRIFTING

I'm not really happy,

I'm not really sad.

I'm not really confused

And I'm not really mad.

I'm not all that hungry

And I'm not all there.

So basically the definition of DRIFTING

Is I don't really care.

I'm forced to go through life

Even though it has no meaning.

I wish it were fake

And that I would stop all this dreaming.

I think the situation you describe is shared by much of humanity. I believe it occurs because we wait for things to happen. If instead we focused on the highest within us, maybe we would be led to that which we really desire.

Wise words. I wholeheartedly agree with you. In this poem the speaker has been through a lot and is at the point where he feels like nothing can make him happy anymore.
