Apart

A Poem by The Poet of Black Wings

Lost little lamb.
Separated from the heard
By the gnashing jaws
Of a red beast.
Cut away in fear,
The panic to
Disappear.

Nearly trampled
By foot of friend.
And close to gnawed
By monsters fang.
All that could be done,
Was flee away,
To the lonely wood.
