Sundown Thoughts

Sundown Thoughts

A Poem by The Poet of Black Wings

Solitary.
The kind of alone
That leaves you sitting
By yourself at the bar,
Reading a book at
Two a.m.
In the dim comforts of
An almost loud
Place.
Hoping both that someone
Notices, and no one bothers.

The kind of alone
That'll put thoughts in your
Head.
The kind of dark things
That you only see
In nowhere and
Nothing.
The sort that creep in
Slowly,
Mingling with your own
Until you don't know them from
Eachother.

The sort of alone
That leaves you silent
When you have an
Archive to share.
Willing, but unable.
