The Real Enemy

The Real Enemy

A Poem by The Poet of Black Wings

Abstract.

Intangible.

Powerful.

All these things

And more,

Make up our

Enemy.

We fight them,

Tooth and nail.

Constantly struggling

To gain traction,

In this

Uphill battle.

If it were

People,

The fight would be over.

We'd have won,

Long ago.

But the

War,

She was never fought

Against mortal kind.

We fight

Ideas.

Not men.
