GaiaA Poem by The Poet of Black Wings
Mother,
I beg forgiveness. The harm i and Mine Have wrought Has destroyed your form And poisoned your Body. We are but children, Your children, Yes. But we've learned Nothing from You. And less from our Siblings. You don't need our Admittance, I know. The guilt is Spread Across your Skin. Our Sins, Forever to Stain Your Beauty. But this is why I Speak, now. This is why we must. We beg. Mother! I beg your Kindness! We have Hurt you, YES! But, I beg. I plead on All's behalf, Forgive us. We are but children. Unable to know Your speech. Your words, too Grand for our ears And Minds, For the time. I implore! Give us mercy! Til the day, We, Understand. We are children. I, am child! Kneeling before you, Crying! I can not Hear your voice, Mother! So i beg, For us all, Let us learn. Let us grow. And when we have, If we do not Listen. If we Choose To ignore your Wisdom... I beg you, Cast us, Unto the flame. © 2016 The Poet of Black WingsFeatured Review
