Words from an American

Words from an American

A Poem by The Poet of Black Wings

I can readily Identify as an american,
but not as a citizen of the united states.
I was born here,
I hold a form of pride for certain things here,
But I can't agree with many of the things the government of this land has done.
Past, present, and what it plans in the future.

I readily burn their flag,
hate their religious bias,
and reject their food.
We are more than that.

We, are something far better.
