It turned out, my interview wasn’t the only thing that made this issue so popular. The artwork also caught some attention as well. I didn’t know it until that day, but Elarin submitted some of her work to the zine. Much of it went unused but one of the paintings got in. Of course, most people went right over it to get to the main article, but a single man took his time to examine it. That man was an older gentleman who belonged to the elites of the city. He contacted Elarin with a request to design a  mural for his business uptown. It seemed like the start of something great for her. For everyone in fact.

A commoner artist gaining a foothold in a blue blood dominated market. Things really were looking up. Strange how instantly things could happen if you just did something.
