I am Something

I am Something

A Poem by Marlee Rosoff
"

The words are tangled, and they are meant to be that way. It's a game of give and take.

"

I am something

Slipping through the bars of luck

Losing my thought train

Departed on a Friday

And now it’s Monday, still no sign

I wish I were set free

Like wild Lupine and tall, thick grass

I am something

Moss covers the floor of the earth

I walk with purpose

Because

I am something

Even when I feel choked

Can’t breathe too well
I am something

A sight to behold, at least

With my dandelion complex

I stand out

Skimming along the surface of dreams

I am something

Wow, nice write, and welcome! I really like your use of repetition and imagery in this piece. Very powerful, and a very beautiful confidence, very respected confidence, displayed here. Nice job!
