The need to know

The need to know

A Poem by Callisto
"

Long day in the woods

"

I am surrounded by paw prints, none of which I can fill.

Who are you wolf? Where? I can't take this gaping hole in my logic anymore

When did it become so much about the word? Why strive to fit in with the label?

If you're here then you've met others like you, you fit in, and they like you.

You'll never be able to say 100% yes, it just isn't like you, but its here, it

brought you to these woods tonight, you, are sincere, wolf.

You go out in the inhospitable weather to feel alive, you run in the rain, the

falling snow, you enjoy it, because its just who you are. A wolf, its in you

fostered from your birth, a beautiful thing you've embraced more than you can

ever realize. Its so interwoven in you that you can barely sense it, you hardly

ever fought, its ingrained down to the last squirming cell.

There is no faith, no tangible, no rule book, just the feelings you and the

people like you. Wolf.

This is a very beautiful write here. The Wolf knows who he is and
there is no need to try fit in and not be himself.

This is really nice.

I like this one. It tickles my fancy. ... There is no real need to know though, y'know? Because we know what we've known for the longest of times. But then again, we're bred to question, aren't we? ;)
