Freddie

Freddie

A Poem by CallieWVU2
"

A poem about my toy-stuffed animal rabbit

"

Freddie never blinks or laughs

But that's ok, I still love him,

Because Freddie never leaves me,

He can't.

His arms and legs don't move

Unless I move them for him.

Sometimes I put his velcro paws

Around my wrist to keep him close.

Freddie saw me cry.

Watched me laugh.

No matter what I said or did

His little paws held on, soft and furry.

But then something happened

And one day Freddie left

Just like all the rest.

And I had no more laughter

And when I cried

There was no one there to hold me

Not even a pair of

Velcro Paws.
