Revlis YstebA Poem by CallieWVU2I couldn't stand to watch them take her Hoisting her up on high shoulders Dragging her away As though no one in the world Had ever loved her. She was mechanical silver Old but sleek, Runnning, just not well enough. A hiccup in her motor, Brakes skinned...bleeding, Nicks on her exterior like Pox or acne scars. I had every intention to close my eyes Long enough, so that when they opened She would just be gone, but as I walked Down the white carpeted steps, I saw her Hanging uphill, defenseless, (as a child) (maybe or too much)? All her silver covered in snow. © 2009 CallieWVU2 |
