Not Out of Love

She wants to love

Because she's had the rest.

Her head hits the pillow

And leaves it

Just as quickly.

She doesn't miss the

Indentation left behind,

Doesn't miss the man

Whose leg hangs off the bed.

She misses her

Laughter, misses her cheeks

Hurting with long hard smiles.

She looks back

Not out of love.
