The Fear Consumes MeA Poem by CallieWVU2Fear consumes my belly Like a pit of coiling snakes Writhing scaly dancers They stop my breath, Racing my heart, And stilling it. Sinking their fangs Deeper than my soul can go I want them out, Will them to die, But they only grow Longer and multiply. They are strong and many Drowning me out completely. I cannot leave And I have no breath They take it all. One day, they will consume me. © 2009 CallieWVU2 |
