She Said WaitA Poem by CallieWVU2A girl seeing her ex with his new gf for the first time...
She said wait
And reached for his arm.
He pulled it away and she knew
That he was gone,
He was lost in her arms,
And lost in the green sheen
Of her peach seed shaped eyes.
She could see his hand wrap
In her ropey brown hair,
Could see his heart
Pound harder
Than it had for her.
His mouth was
A slab of concrete
And then it weakened
It cracked, and softened.
His irises danced,
Vibrated like they had a pulse.
And knew that this creature
Walking behind him was her.
