Dark HorseA Poem by CTI need to get out before it gets too bad. I don't want to be like them.Dark Horse I rode up…so unsuspecting They never did think I’d make it (even though they said they did) I know. I know what they’re really thinking. Quit pretending you care It makes me want to give up Stick to what you know and ignore me That way I have the desire to be more than you But I haven’t made it yet (and I’ve fallen so hard into their cage) (the same cage) I thought I’d made it But this self-medication is destroying me (why did you give up so easily?) I thought a lot of things. Now I’ve got cannabis coating my lungs (i toss tennis balls back and forth for enjoyment) Now I’ve got my liver soaking up this vodka like a sponge (and watching that yellow square guy is suddenly fun) But I haven’t given up yet (i don’t get knocked down that quickly) I have yet to surface from this whirlpool But I will breathe fresh air soon (because I refuse to follow you) There is one more furlong. (and I’ve still got my chance.)
