Half-Reaction

Half-Reaction

A Poem by CT
"

I need some help with my chemistry homework...but my teacher is no longer a friend.

"

"Oh."

A half-reaction:

   Perfectly balanced

    with calm, unseeing eyes.

"Oh."

A reduction in emotion.

(Does this mean I gain a charge?)

Positive......Negative

     Charge...

          CHARGE.

                CHARGE!

"Oh."

Oxidized.

  Lost.

Pick a side.

      to GAIN

                 or

 to LOSE?

(But I have to deal with both.)

             (Then balance them.)

(That's what I'm trying to do!)

"Oh."

A half-reaction:

     simplified.

And the spectators just sit back and watch.

Well, to put it simply...I know how you feel...well, maybe not quite, but I can imagine it. And, lucky me, I know the situation. I love you, CT. We're almost there. We've almost reached the end. It's going to be okay. Just keep holding your breath; we'll surface together.
