Then/Now

Then/Now

A Poem by Calissa Knox

I liked you then, I love you now
I wanted you then, I need you now
I thought of you then, I dream of you now
I said goodbye then, I cry for you now
I was far away then, I feel close to you now
I hurt you then, but I’m the one hurting now
Because...
You loved me then, you hate me now
You needed me then, you’re content now
You dreamt of me then, you don’t think of me now
You cried for me then, you hide from me now
You held me then, you cross your arms now
You were hurting then, but you’re over me now

It's a hard pill to swallow when love is no longer reciprocated. I love the yin and yang to this, Calissa!
