The Illusionist

The Illusionist

A Poem by Calissa Knox

My mind tells me I am lonely.
My mind tells me I am weak.
There are many things I want to find,
it tells me not to seek.

Here I am, crying again -
 my mind says I'm unwanted.
When memories come, I shrink in fear -
my mind says they are haunted.

I have to remember it is only my mind -
I am blessed, I am strong, I am fine.

Above all, I must remember this:
My mind is the best Illusionist.

Oh,hello! Is it that sentiment when you tend to clog up everything and confine yourself so much with sadness to a point that you truly see nothing but a life of darkness? But once you realise it wasn't assured you that these thoughts are facts, you feel free as you start to release these scarry thoughts off your head? That's what I could gather! Loved the sentiment xx

You're very welcome Feather. :)
This has a clear message that is something anyone can identify with. We all go through our troubled times. You describe fear and give an option to move forward. That's great.

My thoughts exactly. The mind is a powerful thing, it can battle within itself
I think that our own mind is the most dangerous place, it can make you go insane!
