In My Mind

In My Mind

A Poem by Calissa Knox

I can fly.
I soar over treetops in the night sky.
I float gracefully over moonlit rivers.
My feathers keep me warm.

I make friends with the owls of night,
and sing with the colorful birds of day.

I sing melodic, long forgotten songs,
and listen to tales of long forgotten lands.

I know the soul of the storm,
and the heart of the wind.
I am free.

Many adventures I've been on.
Many places I've traveled.
Many treasures I seek and find.

Everything is alive,
in my mind.

I love this, Feather. It is a stunning poem, articulately, vividly and emotionally. The mind is incredible, within everything's possible to perceive. These words are a treasure. Keep creating, keep writing beautifully :)

You're very welcome :)
I can see you here as the eye (or I) of the storm... you whirl along with nothingness, and all together at one time, you observe, and catch beautiful things, and all is alive through your veins, and blood...
It's such an inspiration isn't it? if you can dream like this... this is a good poem, it has surreal asspects in it, but also the rich fantasy and reality mixed through your words... wonderful work dear Feather.
