Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by Calibaster
"

I wrote this to describe total uncertainty and fear.

"

Suffocating black,

Surrounding the little shack,

Of a mind in the pitch black,

Darkness.

Emanating evil,

Taking away your free will,

Putting your world in upheaval,

Darkness.

Forboding and provoking,

All the blackness choking,

Childish fears evoking,

Darkness.

Imaginations run wild,

Never something mild,

Rather like a child,

Darkness.

Staring at shadows cast

From that engulfing vast,

Shape that holds you fast,

Darkness.

Struggling in vain,

Crying out in pain,

Angry, mad, insane.

Darkness.

No one there to hear,

No one even near,

Very biggest fear,

Darkness.

Forever all alone,

Remembering things that shone,

Things you should have done,

Darkness.

Author's Note

Calibaster
It's not very good, the rythm is very skewed in some places, but please, be brutally honest.

I mostly wrote it for a contest for dark poems, So yeah, I hope it's dark enough?
What do you mean it's not very good?! Its great (and I'm being brutally honest)!!!
It paints a clear picture of darkness and what darkness brings along.
