Waiting

Waiting for someone...

isn't as painful as media makes it seem.

It's more confusion than anything,

because you're stuck on this roller coaster of thoughts and emotions.

Going from being happy that you have a chance,

to wondering if they'll ever actually "be ready."

But most of the time, you go on as usual,

because, technically, nothing has changed yet.

You'll go about your day normally and won't even think about the situation,

but as soon as you're reminded of them,

you;re back on the ride.

Then you start to ask yourself,

"Will I ever get off?'

"How much longer will I be waiting until the top?"

"Am I just delaying the inevitable rapid drop?"
