TOASTA Poem by Caleu AndradeUnfinished still in the works.
A new year, my mind filled with a million dreams scattered across the ground.
I stare into the sun the moon rises into the sky. my vision no longer sane I pace my halls. Wandering who I am, what I should do. Fireworks in in the distance as lovers kiss to my 227,911.11902 hours of restless sleep. I look with envy as my heart grows cold. Tears of someone elses' life break my mind and burn my eyes. I tried to love once, I tried to see only to chase a word. My hands forever holding a hollow point aimed for someone i never knew. Nerves cracking as a 7.0 point earth quake hits some foreign land. I know that sound, i know that pain as a thousand lives linger above my limbs. memories locked down as fear sets in. I look to the east I see my life, when my watch broke and began to rewind. Press play, for my body aches from the loneliness inside. words scratching as I try to speak through. (to be finished) © 2011 Caleu Andrade |
