Hidden Tears

Hidden Tears

A Poem by Caleu Andrade

Behind the smile there lies a secret,
Behind the eyes there remains a story,
Behind the Voice a scream awaits in the dark.
Tears from the twinkle a glare as the sun fades away.
above the mountain tops the clouds linger awaiting there day to be unleashed.
If a man stood on top of the world and revealed his inner deeper thoughts,
would the world listen?
Listen to the plight of a forgotten being.
as the heavy shadow trails my steps my heart grows weaker.
Words resemble white noise where the only audible tones are those of hidden tears behind the
curtains of shame.
If I took a step back, deep into my wrongs I would take the day I met you.
for the pain I have brought you is a pain I can longer bare.
loaded fingers, with loaded barrels.
I aimed at the sky pulled the trigger and watched us fall.
like two feathers from separate Birds falling side by side the onlookers watch with a mistrustful
gaze. Empty as  dried up well, as barren as a desert I watch the last grains being swept to some far off dune where some spiritless soul will...... to be finished
