Fragmented MemoriesA Poem by Erica DaubertBlurred vision consumes her sight as she wanders through the night contrast and tint disguise humility when she paints her fingers black a damsel in distress yearning for her knight an anti-hero armed with dynamite to bring cool breeze and rain in humidity and save a melancholiac it was no ones fault but her own this mighty queen has been dethroned it's his turn to analyze her face down on the floor fragmented memories of his cologne will be etched in time, on her tombstone a scent she'd tried so hard to memorize in which she'd bathed and explored wishing for one last caress leaves her standards seeking less his laugh, his kiss, his world of wonders domesticated a wild heart false hope has bloomed quite the actress compacting feelings like waste will compress only miles away, yet a seperate universe 'cause you can't combine two works of art © 2015 Erica DaubertReviews
