Childhood FantasyA Poem by CalebWinchester
Twas a way long forgotten.
Twas a trail never trod. When the mud, black and hungry. Took my horse from the road. This part I scarce remember, yet this tale, it must be told. For I saw beast, black and hungry, steal my horse from the road. Oh the growls and the whinnies. And the blood and the dirt. Bloody troll, black and hungry took my horse from the road. And I screamed and I cried till it all gave way to laughing. For my horse, a thing of fiction. And my troll a thing of dreams.
