Sketches

Sketches

A Poem by Caleb is typing...

Do I have to rhyme for it to make sense
Fit in your box for me to get prints
Follow all these rules just to get a few cents
Not just fit into this single row of houseplants?

Can't I just  de ete a letter or fall out of
                                                            line
Add spaces    so that  it's  not  in  time
Sketch out a thought without it being fine,
Not perfect, I just want freedom to write

These thoughts on my mind are keeping me captive
What happened
When did I get entrapped in
Overthinking air that I breathe
Or words that I speak
I'm feeling like I am just asking

For trouble, it's troubling, all the things I have seen
Brokenness pain and all the anxiety
How can I feel so lost but then also freed
Searching, I don't know the words between A-Z

Some great writer wrote. Organized poetry is boring. Un-organized thoughts on paper are masterpieces.

I did like the above lines my friend. I would tell you. Write what you feel. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

This write is amazing, funny, clever, and creative, and may I add, blunt. You didn't mention punctuations, but I got the point period (see what I did there and here

Ahhhh I'm late to the reply but thank you for the kind words!!
This is a fun poem. Personally, all the reasons you listed are why I generally prefer to write prose over poetry. I like having more freedom to express myself.

Same here! It’s hard sometimes to be restricted into rhyming or cadence when there’s so much to .. read more
I loved this! Especially the creativity that went into when writing the following:

Can't I just de ete a letter or fall out of
line
Add spaces so that it's not in time
Sketch out a thought without it being fine,
Not perfect, I just want freedom to write

A very relevant topic tbh, I understand your struggle and desperate need to express yourself. You have a wonderful way with words - great job!
