Many years ago I met a man

Many years ago I met a man

A Poem by CakeSmooth
"

2nd in a series of poems describing my relationships with drugs in my life

"

Many years ago I met a man

He was like an angel

He glowed a shimmering white

Or was this man a prophet?

10 crack commandments

A legend was born

My reality torn

No he must be an angel

So pure and inspiring

The sun on your face

Time to pick up the pace

Yet angels are only passing through

And the realms of the heavens are no place for you

And instead of an angel you now see a man

He's laughing and talking as fast as he can

A glint of crazy in a thousand yard stare

Reality bites and the world is laid bare

But remember the angels are passing through

As you bow your head for a prayer or two

As the angel transcends and spreads his wings

Im feeling again like a king amongst kings

They do important, magical, terrible things...

The king is dead long live the king
