A Glass of Water

A Glass of Water

A Poem by Caius Frank
"

The ice in the glass of water next to me shifts

"

The ice in the glass of water next to me

shifts

It makes a sound against the glass

And suddenly

I am on the leather couch of my grandparents

The glass has my grandmothers lipstick print

A drop of water

falls

down the side of the glass

It has a smell I know

that isn’t here

About
I have always loved to read and only later learned to write, which I love even more. I enjoy short stories, bouncy poems and experimental combinations of words that have a sense of rhythm and invoke f.. more..
