salute to summer and schoolA Poem by Caitlynn Cusickthe time has come, to part our ways, and say hello, to sunny days. in the end, we know what must be done, say goodbye to school, and cry 'yes' to the sun. even though the year has closed, the doors are locked, and seasons slow, we all will still remember the days. the days of fun, the days of laughs, and throwing back monsters, in between class. we remember our friends, old and new, the ones that are gone, and the ones that we want to sue. through the good and the bad, schools seen us through, even though we ray for its end, when the time comes we all will beg. what about me, what about friends, what about stories, we never want to end? what will we do to waste our days, summer has come, and so brings new ways, ways of laziness and ways of fun, but all to soon with it all be done. when will it end, the days of innocent fun, the days of school, and the days of sun? we curse and we cry, singing "why school why" but once we walk across the floor that day, we all will say, "damn cant i stay?"
