what if...?

what if this is all a dream,

a twisted warped reality?

what if life only meant death,

living only from your first to last breath?

what if life isn't what it seems,

a bitter curse to fill the void of realities?

what if god is punishing us,

for every ounce of breath we take?

what if we are only thieves,

stealing something not meant to be? 

what if living is just a lie,

instead of hope and butterflies?

what if we are born to breed,

to carry out mans dirty deed?

what if those who try to escape, 

are ending up with a better fate? 

what if death isn't the end,

but a new and better beginning instead? 

what if we aren't meant to live at all, 

and god is only setting us up to fall?
