Tree

Tree

A Poem by Caitlyn

You are a tree
You stand tall and strong
Your leaves are green, your branches long
You seem free

Lost in the forest, existence unknown
The wind rustles your leaves
While you swing in the breeze
You seem free, but you stand alone

Your torso, your trunk
Your limbs, your branches
Your hair, your leaves
You seem free

Roots hold you to the ground
Fear keeps you from stepping out
A tree can not scream or shout
You seem free, but you keep your head down
