Memories warped in my head

Confusion consumes me instead

Living in a dream

Unsure of what has passed

Unsure of what is now

Life like a puzzle

Uncertain of what is real

One thing is clear

I'm certain of what I feel

That is what counts the most

A home in you I've found

So when I'm feeling lost

Loyal, caring and constant

The better half of me

While reading this, I felt your confusion, but coming upon the 4th verse, I understood the feeling of being brought back to the ground. Your words *felt* puzzled, then *felt* grounded, and then felt as if enveloped in the comfort of your "better half." I really hope that made sense... haha! Truly lovely piece! :)

whoever you are writing this for is so lucky. reminds me of my partner. words written are so beautiful when the feelings are so intense. i guess that is why we get "writer's block" sometimes. that's when we are not feeling anything, or have no inspiration. just like you, i get most of my inspiration from my better half. :)
