WillowA Story by EvanescedShort, free-written story.they did not speak there was no need to tell each other quiet words of eternal love such devotion did not exist in this world anyway she brought his hand to her lips and gently kissed it trailing down to his fingers sucking on them his breath caught and their dark eyes met glimmering in the darkness of the night hers were bright with near fear his were veiled with unknown thoughts his voice was husky as he whispered her name and she murmured an unintelligible response slithering onto his lap his lips met hers as his hands slid up her front cradling her breasts she exhaled slowly shuddering the night was cool and her skin had erupted in goosebumps he twisted around pressing her back and down against the cold stone bench settling himself above but not within her she stared up at the stars the bright points of light concealed and revealed by a cloud and she thought of birds of owls nightingales crows phoenixes as he slid into her with no pain and no pleasure only a sensation of being less than empty of being whole the stars watched indifferently as he kissed her neck suckled her breasts her hands were in his hair and he could not control his breathing now she said lowly ''i love you'' and he stopped staring ragged in breath ''no'' was all he said then ''why did you have to tell me?" he had left her and she began to cry "i don't know" far off a dog barked twice and fell silent as they wept beneath the willow on a cold stone bench. © 2010 Evanesced |
