What Color Do You Call Your Eyes?A Poem by CahWhat color do you call your eyes? A shade of sand meeting the sea meeting the sky? Bright as ice, yet warm somehow. Framed by a fringe the color of copper and gold and earth. All things of great worth plaited and tied along your neck. Matching the quiet quiver of your lips paused without words and pursed together, finally, in a smile. No comment or commitment ever made. But, what answers ever gave themselves to light without great bother? Forgive me if I am impolite, but What color do you call your eyes? I see them clearly when I stare and when I look away their nature escapes my mind. indefinable. indescribable undeniable.
as an old dreams memory, Recalled, yet unyielding to the mornings precious moment. © 2008 CahReviews
