It's too good to be true, that out of the blue Someone like you has appeared Your voice is loving, it pushes away All my hopelessness and inner fear
Yet there is, this one kind of fear Hey! I refuse to admit that I'm shy But I choke on my words and pathetically panic Every time you're nearby
If I ever got, an hour alone With you sitting right by my side I'd show you this unrealistic world My stupid mind has created inside
With the weight of the world On my weak, brittle shoulders I seem to manage carrying on But you give me those, drops of hope The courage to live and sing along
Oh at night I just cannot sleep, I think about you as I lay I keep thinking of ways, in which I can stylishly say Come and forever stay.
I feel soooooo embarrassed publishing this but I just couldn't help it. :p This is not entirely complete, (at least not for me) I had to stop. I mean I could go on writing this poem forever. But it's gotten long and I thought it would be irritating if it got any longer. Damn, I can be so lame sometimes. :P

There's nothing lame about a love poem! Expressing yourself on paper is easier for a shy person than speaking your heart and mind in person. That's why poets are so romantic; it's easier on paper. People have this notion that poets go around and recite their own poems aloud to the person of their affection. In fact, it has been my experience that poets are shy and quiet and reserved. We are mostly expressive in writing than in person. Thank you for writing this poem and sharing it with us!

New to writing. It has become a hobby of mine and somehow I find a lot of peace being able to express myself through poems. It's better than letting that voice in your head yap all the time. :p more..
