Run, Run, Run

Run, Run, Run

A Poem by Cae

You’ve got a lot of nerve to talk yourself up and tear me down

You never wanted to say you didn’t want to stay

I put my faith in you, you just burned it away

You cower away, shy, afraid of confrontation

Well if you give up you’ll get what you deserve

You can’t runaway, no, you can’t runaway; I thought you wouldn’t

You were finished before we even had a start

Stand up be a man about it, fight with your bare hands

Hit me with your bare words

Talk yourself up, and tear me down

You’ll get what you deserve when you let your lies win

Drown me in my own waters, now ice cold like our possibilities

You treat me how you think I deserve

And I don’t get it, I don’t f*****g get why you do this to me

You make your way to me while you're smiling; I’m smiling

But you always turn away and I start thinking straight

You’re always testing fate, and testing my faith

I can’t trust you with my heart anymore

You’ll get what you deserve, always being on the run

And it’s not me, I deserve the sun
