Graveyard

Graveyard

A Poem by Cae

Why does my soul still ache for you
In mornings turned blue from foul words
I want your brutal truths to pierce into the threads binding me together
But the whispers burn my ears like a violent tongue that would never escape your lips
But all too frequently escapes mine
And yet my lips still find it hard to trace the words
Why does my soul still ache for you
When there's hope lying outside the graveyard we call our home now
