Never You

Never You

A Poem by Cae

Do you want to stumble through a heaven we don't believe in
I'd like a break from all the days spent in hell
Maybe it'll help heal the cracks in my shell
Some days I think only salt water can slip between the cracks
Like it's waving through my thoughts
I know my soul can be bought for only those salt water tears
But I think you'd understand
After I've spent so many years in dry dirt and moist mud
And after trees and cactus splinters carved intricate cuts on my skin
After so many nights spent in the cold horrors of my mind
You'd understand why I hate humankind
But not you
Never you

Raw pain is felt. In the words of this poem. I love the vulnerability expressed. True emotion is spelled out. In every sentence and its description. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Thanks for sharing.

Painful, your words arouse sympathy and attention towards your thoughts. You have expressed your emotions really well.
