The Moon

The Moon

A Poem by Cae

The moon follows me home
To make sure I'm safe
After tasting bitter honeycomb
But you never were sober enough to watch
When I was down in your crotch
Or when I was leaving
I had so many words I wasn't vocalizing
But at some point you deserved to hear me
So I left my house in a tiptoe
And I crawled into your window
Only to be hush again
It was too routine to be your sin
I didn't know how to change my ways
Or stop listening to the bad things you say
But I get it now
I'm so glad I do

Another hard write - I think it would have been hard to pen this - dont ask why (please)
This line - "...It was too routine to be your sin..."
- really Wow!
