What's Your Excuse

What's Your Excuse

A Poem by Cae

I don't like the look
of speeding down backroads
in one a.m. moonlight
when everything is fuzzy
But I had to run away
So I guess that's all I have to say
I don't really have an excuse
Cause what would it be
I wonder if you can tell me
What's yours
What's your excuse
For touching me like you did
You were hitting walls
I didn't want you to climb
I had to get out of there on time
So that's why I hit back
But I'm too small brained
To set up an attack
I can't even let any sound
Leave my smoke covered lips
Though your hands are still on my hips
I wish you'd just get off of me
But you just got off on me
