Bad Habits

Bad Habits

A Poem by Cae

You were just a bad habit
But I've long since quit it
It's been a while since I've been addicted
It's kind of funny, who could've predicted
That you'd be the one calling
But I'm done talking
I don't want to bend at the knees
Just to please you
So don't think I'm crawling back into your dark blue sheets
And letting you kiss me on the down beats
Seriously how have you not moved on?
It's been a long time since I've been gone
It's not my fault that you're lonely
So don't tell me I'm your only
Just to get me back in your bed
You realize that you can't get to my head, right?
So go to sleep alone tonight
I'm not going to take your invite
