Past is Passed

Past is Passed

A Poem by Cae

I was never an alcoholic
Until I got addicted to the taste of it on your lips
And your drunk hands dug harder in my hips
You used to get to my mind
But I left that past far behind
But I still put bottles to my lips sometimes
And now I also take hits
But it's no longer from your words
Leaving bruises and cuts that hurt
I rolled around in the back of his truck
And thought that love meant a little luck
Before I realized that he just sucked
I danced around in your midnight
And let you tell me to believe I'm a pretty sight
But you're a f*****g liar
I guess that's why I lost all desire
And then I hopped in a taxi to mars
And soaked in the light from his eyes like stars
But I overshot it a little too far
In all my excitement
And now I'm trying to get back there
Cause, god nothing else compares
I just want to love him
So don't hit me up with your lines
And act like everything you did to me was fine
You tried to keep he and I apart
But now he has all my heart
Still, after everything we've faced in the past few weeks
And all the tears that've fallen on my cheeks
His love is the only thing I seek
