Solace for the Heart

Solace for the Heart

A Poem by Ruarc Cinaed
"

This is a six verse Haiku/Senryu based off the style of The Master; Basho.

"

Solace for the Heart

The oak trees tremble,

The moon hangs in silence,

The clouds pass me by.

Silent is the night,

As the rain begins to fall,

Softly, so softly.

One by one, stars come,

And pierce the ever black night,

In this cold, dark time.

I dream, while the wind

Howls, and the rain falls to Earth,

Her voice fades away.

The pain fills my soul,

Cold rushes through my being,

My heart breaks in two.

I have looked and found,

Peace for my mind, comfort, joy,

Solace for the heart.

Darfod.

Ruarc Cinaed.

solace is one of my favorite words. I love the last line in this poem. It is smooth and beautiful. I love poems about nature. It takes me away from reality
